Day 1  Arrive Nairobi   (LD)
Karibuni to Kenya! Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. After time to freshen up and have lunch, depart for the suburbs of Karen to visit the Karen Blixen Museum. Stroll through the house where some of Ms. von Blixen's furniture and keepsakes have been restored. Then a delightful stop at the Giraffe Center affords the opportunity to feed the Rothschild giraffe. Tonight, enjoy dinner at the Carnivore Restaurant. Choice of Accommodations

Day 2   Nairobi-Serengeti   (BLD)

Travel by road to Arusha where you stop for lunch before taking a light aircraft flight to the Serengeti. The expansive vistas of the Serengeti are a breathtaking sight. After time to freshen up at your lodge, head out on an afternoon game drive. At times, there are more than one million wildebeest, zebra and other plains game traveling across the savannahs of the Serengeti. Choice of Accommodations

Day 3   Serengeti   (BLD)
The Serengeti is one of the largest wildlife sanctuaries in the world. Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives each day. Thanks in part to its wide row of incisor teeth, the wildebeest eats more grass per mouthful than any other herbivore and as a result, is dominant in the Serengeti. Among the more than 300 species of birds found in the park, watch for the Superb Starling, whose iridescent colors make it easy to spot. Choice of Accommodations

Day 4   Serengeti   (BLD)

Enjoy both morning and afternoon game drives today. Choice of Accommodations

Day 5   Serengeti-Ngorongoro   (BLD)
Drive to Olduvai Gorge, most famous as the treasure-trove of both human and animal fossils dating back more than 2 million years which provided some of the first clues to human life. After a picnic lunch, continue on to the Ngorongoro Conservation area. Choice of Accommodations

Day 6   Ngorongoro   (BLD)
Ngorongoro Crater is the largest caldera (or collapsed volcano) in the world. The crater's floor is home to a wide variety of habitats supporting abundant wildlife and birdlife. A full day of game viewing on the crater floor might reveal hippo and leopard along with birdlife such as the Black kite, white-necked raven, Hildebrandt's francolins and much more. Day 7   Ngorongoro-Lake Manyara   (BLD)
Drive to Mto wa Mbu Village near the shores of Lake Manyara for an informative and fun cultural visit. A guided walk around the village will show you a local home, church and school. After a traditional lunch continue to Lake Manyara for an afternoon game drive. Choice of Accommodations

Day 8   Lake Manyara-Tarangire   (BLD)
Game drive enroute to Tarangire National Park which derives its name from the Tarangire River. During your afternoon game drive in the park, you might spot lion, bat-eared fox, kudu and the bateleur eagle. Choice of Accommodations

Day 9   Tarangire   (BLD)
On your morning and afternoon game drives you will be struck by the massive baobab trees which dot the plains around the park. Keep an eye out for Grant's gazelles, which is one of the larger gazelles. Choice of Accommodations

Day 10  Tarangire-Nairobi   (BLD)
Drive to Arusha where you stop for lunch before returning by road to Nairobi. The remainder of the day is at leisure. Choice of Accommodations Day 13  Nairobi-Depart   (BD) A morning visit to the Daphne Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage provides a unique and personal visit with these gentle creatures. The orphanage is known for the care of orphaned elephants and their reintroduction to the wild. Choice of Accommodations (Day Room)
